We leave Vaalpark at about 7 am to Jozi airport. soaking rain! comming down hard!
slept very little the night before. thunder storm on stoep. was worried... family stuff.
Had an awesome croissant and juice at airport - was lovely. waited for Ouma and die professor. Picked up books from bookstore, met them downstairs at boarding gates. off we go!!!
Just less than 1h fight time to Maputo...
Maputo... SUPER hot and uber humid. that time too. drank liters of water... only when we found some...
so from the start:
landed in Maputo airport, got visa's at customs. flown in over several high rising building (OK, high - 6 odd storeys. got a Vodacom sim on airport - sim for free (as was tshirt, pen and keyring) when buying airtime - rates to SA: 2 min = 26 Metikayas, hence about 13 Mt/min. SMS = 5.30 Mt. Fawzia rents car: Europcar - needs drivers licence and passport and credit card. Car = Kia Rio.
