Trust

I've heard a (shall I say) "talk" two days ago - some thoughts on the topic of trust. Do you ever think of how much of your discisions, actions during the day depends on trust in some way? David (who was sharing some of these thoughts) used the example of driving - getting at a traffic circle, you trust the person to the left is familiar with the rules of driving in SA. More so, you trust him/her to obey these rules. But you haven't seen the person's driver's liscence yourself. In the same way you trust your car will be in the garage as you leave the house for work in the morning. So your office or workspace. Of course this matter of trust spans a great deal of deeper and less touching parts of our lives. But to the other end, what I realized is that during a conversation, I trust the next person to convey true response, in honesty. What is more, is that since I expect that from the other, I need to be honest too - in both words, impressions, body language, and insinuations (though personally I don't really appreciate the latter either way). Finally, I think the people who's company I enjoy most, and appreciate most, are those whom I trust... moreover, in appreciation to them, can they trust me?

The officer in John's gospel trusted the Lord Jesus when He told him that his son is cured. (John 4: 46-54)
Believe, trust...
Wonder if there's a difference?
